We switched to these for pellets about a month ago and they have been a great addition to my bunnies diet! He is very sensitive and often other food gives him digestive issues, but ever since switching there has been little to no issues in that area!

My pigs go nuts for it!
I have 5 guinea pigs and all of them went nuts over this new mix. I have used Oxbow pellets for their entire life, they normally ate the Garden Select. They all really enjoyed this new food because there is a variety of pieces in it. All of the pieces are hay-based, so there are no harmful ingredients, like seeds/sugar/etc. However, it does have different types of hay blends in the pellets, which they absolutely LOVE! My girls love to forage, so they really enjoyed the bigger pieces, digging for them and then running off with them. I've never seen my pigs so ravenous over a food before! I would love to continue feeding this selection.

What is Selective Feeding?

Small animals will instinctively select the most calorically dense pieces of food first when given the choice. When selectively eating, small pets will often leave behind the pieces containing the most valuable nutrition in the form of fiber, protein, vitamins, and minerals.

Selective feeding has been linked to dental disease, GI stasis, bladder sludge, and other serious negative health outcomes.

BEFORE

AFTER

When small animals pick and choose their favorite pieces in popular competitor mixes, they are likely to consume inadequate amounts of fiber, protein, and vitamins, eating high amounts of unhealthy starch instead.

Every piece of Forage Wise is formulated to deliver essential nutrition. That means that no matter which tastes, textures, or colors your pet prefers, they'll get all the fiber, protein, and vitamins they need at mealtime!

Get The Facts on Foraging

Rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and gerbils are all wired to forage for their food. In the wild, these animals are required to search high and low for their daily sustenance. As a pet parent, it's important to create opportunities for your pets to mimic this behavior. The good news is that there are some fun and easy ways to inspire your fluffly loved ones to forage, even in the comforts of home.

Beginner's Guide to Scatter Feeding

Scatter feeding is a great way to make mealtime a little more challenging.  Scatter feeding can be practiced with pellets, greens, healthy treats, or any other food that you might typically serve your pets in a single dish.
